I have had an amazing experience as Liaison with Chief for a Day over the last 8 years.
Having been a part of it from informing the schools, to the essay writing, to organizing the competition day, to becoming part of the "winner's" family for several weeks has been extremely rewarding.
It is difficult to put into words the joy and pride I personally experience from working so closely with these kids and "making their dream" come true. I am so fortunate to work with these students, and move them from nervous, excited grade 5 kids to confident "Chief's".
It is truly an honour to see the Durham Regional Police Service through the eyes of a 9 or 10 year old.
