Grade 5 student Connor Frigan was the winner of the 2021 annual Chief for a Day Essay Contest.

Connor, a student at Charles Bowman Public School in Bowmanville, was the first-ever Chief for a Day from the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board. Connor successfully and flawlessly performed his duties during a fun-filled day.

Following the Change of Command Oath of Office at Regional Headquarters in Whitby and reading of his essay at the virtual Police Services Board Meeting, he visited the Traffic Services Branch, toured the Forensic Investigative Services, and watched demonstrations on Use of Force and the DRPS K-9 unit.

His day concluded with a trip on AIR1, from the Oshawa Executive Airport.
